Cookie Policy.
This policy explains which cookies backbonearea.com may set in your browser and why, in accordance with Article 22(2) of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE).
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser so that the site works or so that it can recognise the browser on later visits. The same applies to other ways of storing information in the browser, such as local storage.
2. Cookies used on this site
This site does not use advertising, tracking or profiling cookies, whether its own or third-party. That is why it does not ask for your consent when you arrive. The only cookies you may find are these:
- cf_clearance (Cloudflare, Inc.): a technical security cookie. Cloudflare protects and serves this site; if a connection looks suspicious, it shows a verification and, once it is passed, sets this cookie so it does not have to repeat it. It lasts 30 minutes. It is not set for other visitors.
- bka_interno (Backbone Area S.L.): our own cookie, set for 400 days only in the browser of someone who deliberately visits an internal address reserved for Backbone Area staff, so that those visits are not counted in the site statistics. It is not set for any other visitor.
3. Cookieless visit measurement
To understand how the site is used and which organisations visit it, we use two services that work without cookies and without storing anything in your browser:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc.): a script that sends aggregated statistics for each visit.
- Leadfeeder: a script that infers from the IP address the organisation you connect from and the pages you visit.
The processing of this data is explained in the Privacy Policy (section 8).
4. Third-party resources
Fonts (Google Fonts) and some code libraries (cdnjs, jsDelivr and unpkg) are downloaded from third-party servers. They do not set cookies but, as with any download, they receive the IP address and the browser type.
5. Managing cookies
You can allow, block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block technical cookies, Cloudflare may show you the security verification again.
If this site adds cookies that require consent in the future, it will ask for your consent before setting them and will update this policy. For any questions, write to [email protected].
