Backbone Area S.L. provides managed IT, cybersecurity (including the BKA Phylax SOC), networks and infrastructure, automation and artificial intelligence, and regulatory compliance (NIS2, ENS and ISO) services. They are aimed at companies, organisations and professionals.
3. How services are contracted
- Services are not contracted through this website. The contact form and email are for requesting information or a proposal, with no commitment.
- Each engagement starts with a proposal (quotation) prepared for the customer, valid for 3 months from its date of issue.
- Once the proposal is accepted, the parties sign a contract. The contract and its annexes (including the accepted quotation) prevail over any earlier communication; for financial terms, the accepted quotation prevails.
- One-off projects (migrations, deployments, audits, certifications) are contracted with a fixed quotation accepted before work begins. No project is invoiced without one.
- Any change to the contract must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
4. Price, scope and service levels
The price, scope, units covered and service levels (SLA) of each engagement are set out in the proposal and the contract. This website does not publish prices. Amounts are stated with VAT shown separately.
5. Invoicing and payment
Unless the contract states otherwise:
- Managed services are invoiced monthly, on the 1st of each month. The block of hours is invoiced in advance and projects on accepted milestones.
- Invoices are due 15 calendar days from their date of issue and are paid by bank transfer to the account shown on them.
- Late payment is governed by the contract (late-payment interest, possible suspension of the service with prior written notice and, if non-payment is repeated, termination of the contract).
6. Term, renewal and termination
- Managed services have a minimum initial term of 12 months from go-live and renew automatically for successive one-year periods, unless written notice of non-renewal is given 30 calendar days before expiry.
- Any trial period, if agreed, and the conditions for early termination are set in each contract.
- When the contract ends, Backbone Area S.L. hands over the documentation and configurations needed for continuity, provides transition support and returns or deletes the customer's data within the periods set in the contract.
7. Confidentiality and data protection
The parties keep the information they exchange confidential. Where the service involves processing the customer's personal data, Backbone Area S.L. acts as data processor and signs a data processing agreement with the customer (Article 28 GDPR), annexed to the contract. The data of anyone who contacts us through this site is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and the contracts are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute is submitted to the Courts and Tribunals of Madrid.
